Day 1 Recap – Sitecore Symposium 2024

The Sitecore Symposium 2024 has brought together global brands, marketers, technologists, and digital visionaries in vibrant Nashville, Tennessee, for what promises to be the digital experience event of the year.
From powerful keynotes to inspiring stories of transformation, the atmosphere is charged with excitement. The event started with hands-on workshops, mainstage keynotes, breakout sessions & networking events where attendees connected, collaborated, and explored new opportunities in the digital landscape.

Day 1 Highlights
Launch of Sitecore Stream
The biggest highlight of day 1 was Sitecore Stream – AI created for marketers by marketers, announced by CEO Dave O’Flanagan and CPO Roger Connolly. Sitecore launched a new solution that enhances Sitecore DXP with orchestration and AI to boost market and drive growth. This add-on capability represents a market-leading innovation, where they introduced the first intelligent DXPs to address the challenges faced by marketers.
Based on a 3S (Smart, Strategic, and Secure) approach to transforming content experiences, the core capabilities of Sitecore stream are AI-enhanced Workflows (enhancing the content experience lifecycle with AI), Generative Copilots (marketers working more effectively), and Brand-Aware AI (brand adherence for marketers).
General Sessions – Sitecore Updates
The Power to Build for Measurable Impact
In this insightful session, CEO Dave O’Flanagan, CPO Roger Connolly, and CMO Kathie Johnson explored the future of marketing, showcasing how Sitecore’s vision and innovations will empower brands to create measurable impact. From AI-powered workflows to composable architectures, they demonstrated how Sitecore’s tools enable brands to turn insights into action, driving success with tighter budgets and delivering real results. Their perspectives provided a roadmap for B2B and B2C operations to achieve strategic growth through advanced digital experiences.
Reimagining Sitecore.com for B2B Audiences
In a collaborative effort that involved both Hugo & Cat and Sitecore reimagined the Sitecore.com B2B platform. This transformation incorporated user-centric design, digital-first branding, and Sitecore's XM Cloud to create personalized, engaging experiences for buyers. The session highlighted effective research methodologies and strategies for designing impactful B2B customer journeys.
Content Lifecycle: Increasing Content Creation & Consistency Across Channels, this session explored the content lifecycle and its importance in delivering consistent experiences. The presenters demonstrated how decoupling content from channels enables businesses to scale efficiently while ensuring seamless distribution across platforms. Key takeaways included best practices for content reuse and strategies to create agile, omnichannel content systems.
Another notable session was the Sitecore Content Hub R&D roadmap, where they discussed how to effectively deal with content chaos and make it a content value chain, as well as Content Hub and Sitecore Stream integrations. Overall, the day was filled with engaging customer showcases and Sitecore updates.
Guest keynotes
Sitecore Symposium 2024 welcomed a lineup of exceptional guest speakers. Fourteen-time Olympic Medalist Katie Ledecky inspired the audience with her perseverance, teamwork, and leadership journey. During the chat, Katie focused on team spirit, sharing her experience as a swimmer and setting personal targets while contributing to collective efforts. Talking about her inspiration or any Mantra for success, she recalled a saying from her grandmother: “Take the lead and hold the lead.”

Icreon hosted a lively event for Sitecore attendees at their booth, inviting participants to register for a chance to win fantastic prizes.
